Friends and Blessingway

Saturday, December 1
I met my girlfriends (wine night ladies...Courtney, Casey, Robin) in Maple Grove. We had lunch at P.F Changs and then went to Color Me Mine (where you pick out pottery and paint it) to celebrate Robin's bachelorette party. We had a wonderful time!

My meager artistic talent...an ornament for baby's first Christmas. I'll get to pick up the ornament in about a week.

Then Courtney and I went to her house to pick up our husbands and then we met Paul and Lauren Mellick for dinner at Punch Pizza!

After dinner we went to the Mellick's condo and spent the evening visiting!

Sunday, December 2
My sister had a Blessingway for me at our friend Brooke's house. A Blessingway is a gathering to support mom and baby through the rest of her pregnancy, labor and delivery. Each person brought a bead and explained why they picked the bead for me. The beads are all on a bracelet for me to wear/hold during labor: for me to know each person is with me, sending me strength and positive energy.

Each person also brought a candle and explained why they picked it for me. Jess placed all the candles on a beautiful white mirrored tray, to have and to light each candle as I chose but again to light them and remember the support from each person who gave me the candle.

Each person also has a yellow ribbon around their wrist with the intent to look at it, send positive vibes and keep it on until my baby is born.

We had visited, ate pie and did henna tattoos. I'm so thankful for each person present at the Blessingway and those who couldn't make it. Your support has been amazing and I'm so thankful to have you in my life. Paul and I are truly blessed with all of our friends and family and we are so excited for the little one and can't wait for you to meet him or her.

On our way home we stopped to see our friends Kyle, Adrianne, Amelia, and Ada. It was so good to catch up with them!
