2 months

Jason is already 2 months old! And he's definetly getting bigger! He is outgrowing newborn clothes and now fits into 0-3 month clothes! He is also in size 1 diapers. Jason has his 2 month MD appt yesterday and here are his stats: weight of 9 lbs 15 oz (made the chart at the 5%), height of 22 1/4 in (15%). Smiling for Dr.Amsberry!

I continue to breastfeed with supplementing high calorie formula once a day. The MD said to continue high calorie formula until he is 3 months old.
We have established a good bedtime routine of diaper change, changing him into pajamas and a sleep sack, Paul giving him formula, reading him a book, saying prayers together, then laying him down in his crib. He sleeps between 4-5 hrs after that and then wakes up about 2 more times at night and generally goes back to sleep easily. He takes naps throughout the day at random, usually about 1-2 hrs at a time.
Random things
-Jason is not a big fan of baths, he likes to be bundled and warm
-He doesn't like when I file his nails, I'm nervous to cut them so I'll keep filing them
-He is holding his head up really well! Practicing during tummy time (some days it's 2 min, some days 20 min)
-We go to ECFE class once a week and he's done really well. It is nice to connect with other moms and babies around the same age
-Jason likes his activity gym, swings his arms and bats at the toys
-He is getting chunky thighs and chubby cheeks
-He is starting to track objects with his eyes
-He is such a cuddler and I snuggle him right up
-He loves his nuk

Jason is such a happy, content, easy going baby. He is smiling and cooing now and it makes my day! He has brought so much joy and happiness to our lives!

A night away

After Paul got home from work on Friday, we packed the car and made our way to Duluth for our first overnight away from home! I was a bit weary about going because early afternoon, I called my doctor and am being treated for mastitis. But we had planned this trip and I really wanted to see my family. We made a stop in Hinckley to eat and nurse and made it to the Morgan's about 8pm. Jess was awesome and everything ready for us when we got there...bed with sheets for us, pack-n-play for Jason, and heater on! Unpacking our stuff I realized I forgot a few things, a few pieces for my breast pump! Luckily I was still able to use it and I had everything we needed for Jason!

We put Jason down to sleep shortly after getting there. We visited for a bit then all went to bed.

We had a bit of a rough night, Jason was up every 1-2 hrs and I had fever and chills so very little sleep for us. But in the morning, Jess prepared an awesome French toast breakfast with sausage and fruit which was delicious! Then we hung out. Snuggles with Jason

The kids playing with Jason,

Making sure he was comfortable!

My sister took Jason and I was able to take a nap which was awesome!

Then my parents came around noon. We had lunch then celebrated my dad's birthday

Family time

My parents left late afternoon. Jess was great to watch Jason again so Paul and I could make a quick trip to the mall. Then came back for more family time

Jess made another fantastic meal, beef tips for dinner! We originally had planned to stay the whole weekend but with the rough night we had and me still not feeling the best, we decided to head home. We drove straight home, no stops and Jason did great!

Luke was just leaving our place when we got home. We were so thankful he was able to watch Darpy for us while we were away!

We put Jason to bed right away, put stuff away and went to bed ourselves! We had a lazy Sunday

Getting ready to watch the Superbowl

Somebody was too tired though
