Wednesday, January 16
St.Johns Prep had a baby shower for us after the school day at the American Burger Bar in St. Joe. Jason and I picked up Paul at school, then went to the bar. It was a nice gathering, good conversation and celebration of Jason. Here's how handsome he looked

That night my parents came for an overnight visit. We had my dads delicious homemade chili for dinner and had a low key night. Then Thursday, my dad watched Jason while my mom and I did some shopping. My parents stayed until Paul got home from work.




















It was awesome to have my parents spend time with us!

Friday morning


Friday night, my sister, Isaac and Piper came to be with us for the weekend! The kids were so excited to hold Jason

We spend the afternoon on the go...First stop was Cherry Berry!











Then to the mall. We hit up a few stores and I got Jason a super cute outfit for him to wear to a friends wedding. Then we came home and had Chinese takeout for dinner.

Auntie and G+G Menard

We were lucky to have my sister come for the whole weekend! We lounged, had great conversation, and snuggled with Jason.


G+G Menard came Saturday afternoon for a visit


Jess made us two nummy meals and a sweet dessert and watched Jason while we had a date! (instead of a movie, we went and bought a treadmill!).









Sunday, we had a quick trip to Kohls. First time using the stroller








We didn't want Auntie to leave :0( we can't wait until she visits again

Work, friends, walk, one month, night out

Jan 7-mon
Paul's first day back at work after a wonderful 4 weeks at home!

Jan 8-tues
Our friends the Osmundson's, Kyle, Adrianne and their girls Amelia and Ada, came for a visit to meet Jason!






Jan 9-Wed
It was a beautiful day, sunny and around 30 degrees so I got Jason in the moby wrap, bundled us up, got Darpy on his leash and went for our first walk outside!

We decided to venture out of the house for dinner at Jimmy's Pourhouse. Our first time eating at a restaurant with Jason

That night we went to our daycare provider's so she could meet Jason.

Jan 4-fri
Paul got sick with a 24 hr flu and I had a trip to the ER which turned out to be a 6hr visit as I was treated for an infection. Thankfully, Paul's parents came to help all of us! Thanks Margie and Pierre! Thus we spent the rest of the weekend recovering

January 2 - Great Grandparents

We took out first road trip on Jan 2 to see my grandparents in Maplewood. Jason's middle name, Eugene is in honor of my Grandpa, Eugene Tischer and my Dad, Gerald Eugene. My parents were there and My Aunt Katie, Aunt Diane and Uncle Lee came to meet Jason.

New Years

We had a low key New Years. Paul made a wonderful steak dinner for us and had part of a ginormous peanut butter cup for dessert!

Jason and I fell asleep on the couch around 10pm. Then Paul woke us up about 5 minutes before midnight and had champagne for us. We toasted, and kissed Jason. We're excited for the adventurous year ahead!
