So much to be thankful for this year...family, friends, jobs, house, puppy, and baby on the way! We celebrated with the Menards in Rosemount and had a wonderful meal and family time.
I saw a flyer at work indicating 2nd year sonogram students at the St.Cloud Technical College were were needing clinical experience for ultrasounds and looking for pregnant women. So I called and scheduled an ultrasound! Paul and I went yesterday(11/19) for the ultrasound at 35 weeks, 3 days along. We got to see our baby who is growing healthy, heart beat of 141, head is down, saw all 4 chambers of the heart, hands, feet, tummy, and the profile of the head. The student told us she hadn't done an ultrasound with a mom so far along an she kept saying "you're all baby" She said it was hard to get good pictures because baby was so big and not much room to move around. The ultrasound was about an hour and we were sent home with a CD of the images! It was amazing to see the growth of baby from the 20 week ultrasound to this one!
And today (11/20) we had our 36 week appt with our doctor! It was a shorter visit as he had a patient in labor but it was a good, quick appt. Baby's heart beat was around 140, head is down and baby is of healthy size. I only measured 30 weeks (which made me nervous) but my doctor said he's not concerned cause baby is sitting so low in my pelvis and that why measurement is off. He said we'll monitor and possibly have an ultrasound at 38 weeks. I will have weekly appts now until baby comes! We are quite excited for this little one's arrival!
Paul had a conference in the cities on Friday and we planned a weekend in the cities, so after work on Friday, I picked him up in Minneapolis. We had a wonderful dinner date at the The News Room, then went to Paul's parents in Rosemount. We visited and then headed to bed. We had a lazy morning and then spent the day doing a bit of shopping and visiting my grandparents. We were able to help them fill out their absentee ballots to vote. We had great conversation and enjoyed the Bakers Square pie we brought for an afternoon treat! We also got a chance to visit with my aunt and cousin who also stopped to visit my grandparents.
Saturday night, Paul and I took Paul's parents out to eat at an amazing Italian restaurant called Guiseppi's in Rosemount. We had a great meal and conversation.
Then Sunday, a Dual Shower! I'm due Dec 21 an my best friend Court is due Jan 19. We were lucky to have mutual friends from college, Tiffany and Laura, throw us a dual shower! The theme The Little Night Owls.
The decorations were so cute an the food and drinks were delicious! Several scrumptious desserts and tasty drinks!
So thankful for amazing friends!
And moms
And bestie
So thankful and blessed for the generosity and support from friends and family!
My coworker Kari had mentioned about going out for dinner sometime so we planned to go out Thursday, November 1. So after work, she picked me up at my house and I was able to show her the baby's room! Then we got in the car and she told me we were going to a restaurant that I've never been to but swore that it would be really good and i would like it. She then asked me to close my eyes because she wanted me to be surprised. I should've known something was up at that point but no, I went along with the plan. I was a little confused as Kari appeared to be lost and had to call someone for directions. But then the car stopped and we got out, to my surprise, at our coworker Kim's house. The door opened and all of my coworkers, case management team was there. It was amazing! I was completely taken off guard by my coworkers! Everything was awesome...the decorations, food, games and conversation! Everyone was so generous with their gifts and support! I'm so thankful and blessed to work with such amazing people!
